Filipino fruit picker in Canada, earns up to P100k per month

By picking strawberry and cucumber fruits on a farm in Canada, a Filipino worker there earns the equivalent of P25,000 per week or P100,000 per month.

OFW Albert Frederich Logo shared his life and work as a fruit picker in Canada. He is working as OFW for 5 years which started in Taiwan.

“Mga limang taon na akong OFW, pero nag-start muna ako sa Taiwan.

"Nahikayat akong magpunta dito kasi balita ko, maganda nga raw dito sa Canada,” Logo shared to Unang Hirit.

He moved to Canada because of a friend who told her that life was better there.

"At alam niyo, mukhang hindi ako nagkamali," said Lago who has now been working in Canada for more than a year.

Lago is currently staying in a bunkhouse in Canada where there are two rooms for six persons each.
