Customer who spent NT$10 on a tea egg won NT$2million in Taiwan's receipt lottery

A customer a 7-Eleven in Yangmei, Taoyuan City won NT$2 million in Taiwan's uniform invoice lottery system after the winning numbers of the receipt lottery for July and August.

At each draw of the uniform-invoice lottery, an eight-digit number is added which allows winners to collect NT$10 million and another number for a prize of NT$2 million.

The prizes can be claimed between Oct. 6, 2020 and Jan. 5, 2021, the ministry said upon announcing the winning numbers for the two-month period.

Meanwhile, a person who spent NT$35 on a bread product at a 7-Eleven convenience store in New Taipei City will be able to claim NT$10 million.

Taiwan's uniform invoice lottery system, which draws winning numbers every two months, was created to encourage consumers to collect their sales invoices as part of the ministry's efforts to prevent tax evasion by retailers.
