Taiwan reports 3 imported COVID-19 case where 2 Filipinos and 1 Taiwanese came from PH


Taiwan reports three new imported cases of COVID-19 which came from Philippines that includes 2 Filipinos and 1 Taiwanese, announced by Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Friday (July 24).


The latest cases include a Filipino man in his 50s (case No. 456), a Filipino man in his 30s (case No. 457), and a Taiwanese woman in her 30s (case No. 458), Taiwan News reported.

Case No. 456 moved to the Philippines for work in November last year, case No. 457 traveled to the Philippines in March this year to visit relatives while case No. 458, went to work in the Philippines in January this year.

Meanwhile, Taiwan has now extended its streak of no new local infections to 107 days, with the last local case reported on April 8. 

Philippines currently suffering from burst of COVID-19 cases with more than 74,000 cases.
