Taiwanese groups gave surgical masks to Philippines as COVID-19 response

Two Taiwanese groups in the Philippines donated surgical face mask to the Philippine government and hospital with an aim to help the country battle with the COVID-19 crisis.

Taiwanese Association Philippines (TAP), a group of Taiwanese businessmen, on Tuesday (March 31),   handed over 10,000 surgical face masks to the Philippine General Hospital.

On the other hand, the Department of Health (DOH)  received 5,000 surgical face masks from the Taiwanese Compatriot Association (TCAP) here in the country last Wednesday, April 1.

TCAP Supervisor Edison Lin said the group is committed to donating a total of 10,000 surgical masks to the Philippines but will do so in two batches due to supply issues.

Lin also added that the donations are intended to help the country in this time of crisis and promote goodwill between Filipinos and Taiwanese.
