Taiwan confirmed 19 new COVID-19 patients, bringing the total to 235 cases


Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Wednesday (March 25) announced 19 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, all of which were imported, bringing the total to 235.


According to Health Minister and CECC head Chen Shih-chung, there were 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, all of which had recently traveled overseas. Chen said that out of the 19 new cases, seven were men and 12 were women, who ranged in age between 10 and 60.

The CECC commander said that the latest batch of confirmed cases had recently traveled to countries such as UK, U.S., Egypt, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Turkey, Indonesia, and Thailand.

As for the numbers of cases coming from the countries previously listed, six had traveled to the U.S., nine had visited the UK, while the rest had gone to numerous destinations,
all of the new cases were Taiwanese citizens, with the exception of one American national.
