PAL, Cebu Pacific and Airasia cancel domestic flights to and from Metro Manila

After President Rodrigo Duterte announced a ban on all forms of travel-land, air, and sea - to and from Metro Manila for one month starting March 15, Philippine Airlines (PAL), AirAsia, and Cebu Pacific (CEB) suspended flights as a respond to the government's order.

PAL have said that 60 of their flights are going to be affected while AirAsia had listed 102 domestic flights daily. On the other hand, CEB did not yet give a tally of its affected services.

The three airlines, however, clarified that international and domestic flights not on routes to and from Manila will continue to operate within the period of the community quarantine.

Rest assured, request for refund, rebooking of flight tickets, or credit account of the guests affected by the travel ban and restrictions will be accommodated by the aforementioned airlines. Likewise,  holders of tickets issued by travel agents may contact or visit the nearest partner travel agency for queries.

The Philippines will quarantine Metro Manila’s 12.8 million people, banned mass gatherings and suspended classes for a month after the fast-spreading COVID-19 infected at least 98 people in the country, 6 of whom died.
