Taiwan's minimum wage increased by NT$200, basic NT$24,000 effective next year


The Basic Wage Review Committee met today (18) and decided that the monthly basic salary will be increased by .084%, the monthly salary will be adjusted from 23,800 yuan to 24,000 yuan, and the hourly salary will be adjusted from 158 yuan to 160 yuan, and will effective January 1, 2021.


Although the global economy has suffered severe damage due to the epidemic this time, after discussions on labor, management, politics, and academics, this year it is decided to slightly increase the basic salary.

This would mark the fifth time the monthly minimum wage has been increased since Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) has taken office.

In accordance with the Labor Standards Act (勞動基準法), foreign workers in Taiwan will also receive the pay raise.

Great,but how about the household workers instead of increasing the salary,we have so many deductions that we only have a take home pay of 16,000 ntd a month plus if you have to day off from 8 am to 8 pm have to deduct 1 day but when you return home you have to do household chores and wakes up at night to take care of the elderly.

  2. totoo yan sis kawawa nman tayong mga caretaker kaya lilipat na talaga ako sa factory next yr.matapos ang contrata ko.dahil lagi nlang tayong ichapuwera sa mga benipisyo.
