The Taoyuan City Government Fire Department received a report about 12:14 noon today that Sci Pharmatech factory in Luzhu District, Taoyuan encountered a massive fire.
Two people were known to have been injured and sent to hospital immediately. The fire department stated that after receiving the report, 76 firefighters, 28 fire trucks and 2 ambulances were immediately dispatched to rescue.
The fire was on the third floor with dense smoke. According to the fire department’s preliminary investigation, two men were injured in the fire.
Among them, a 30-year-old man had 80% third-degree burns. As for another 40-year-old man, his right palm was burned. Both are currently being treated at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
