Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau (CWB) predicts that a new and colder wave of northeastern winds will bring colder weather to the country that will bring the temperature to 13 degrees Celcius in open areas.
The weather bureau forecasts a significant drop in temperatures from late Thursday evening to early Friday morning.
The temperature will range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius, and open areas may see lower temperatures of between 13 and 14 degrees from Thursday night to Friday morning.
Daytime highs are forecast to range between 20 and 22 degrees in northern Taiwan, up from 17-19 degrees in the early morning hours, 27 degrees in central Taiwan, and 27-28 degrees in the south, according to the CWB.
In addition to cool air, CWB said that the wind system is expected to continue to bring moisture to Taiwan, in particular to areas north of Taoyuan, eastern Taiwan, and the Hengchun Peninsula in the south. (Photo CWB sattelite image)
